Alevin are defenseless, and while still in development the egg sack is like a neon light bullseye for trout. Alevin are found hatching on gravel bottoms. An easy meal, and a high protein one at that, trout and steelhead cant help but gorge on these little snacks. Fished with fluorocarbon this little fly will fall victim to hungry trout.
