Scientific Anglers Tailout XL Scissor Clamp

Bought this a few weeks ago - could not open. Had to cut the plastic material back to get the scissors to open which is a manufacturing defect. Once open the needle hook eye cleaner looks more like a needle and protrudes a significant length into the opposite scissor handle - seems to be extreme overkill given most are very short. Was an impulse purchase in an effort to find smaller scissors that aren't oversized or too small. Not impressed with the quality or the function.
