Fish the Middle & South Bights of Andros
Known as the Bonefish Capital of the World, Andros offers an incredible amount of fishable water with a fraction of the development and crowds found elsewhere in the Bahamas.
The Middle and South Bights are a vast network of shallow flats, mangrove creeks, channels, and backcountry water. Each day, local guides can adjust to the tides, wind, weather, and fish movement to find the best opportunities.
Expect everything from schools of cruising bonefish to shots at larger singles and doubles. And keep your eyes open—permit, tarpon, and barracuda also call these waters home.

Bonefish
The primary target and the fish that made Andros famous. Expect opportunities ranging from schools of fish to larger singles and doubles cruising shallow flats.
Permit
Never guaranteed and never easy—but always worth being ready for when one appears.
Tarpon
Conditions and timing can create opportunities for tarpon throughout the Andros fishery.
Barracuda
Fast, aggressive, and an exciting change of pace when exploring the flats.
Four Full Days on the Flats
Fish Monday through Thursday with experienced local Andros guides, exploring the flats, mangrove edges, creeks, and backcountry waters surrounding Mangrove Cay.
Each day's fishing is shaped by the tides, wind, and conditions, with guides choosing the water that offers the best opportunities.
Want to keep fishing after the skiff returns? Swain's Cay has a wading flat directly off the beach for anglers looking to make a few more casts.
Stay at Swain's Cay Lodge
Located beachfront on Mangrove Cay, Swain's Cay Lodge puts you close to the fishing with a comfortable place to relax after a day on the flats.
Guests have access to the lodge's kayaks and bikes, complimentary Wi-Fi, daily room amenities, and a wading flat right off the beach.
Bahamian Food After a Day on the Water
After a day on the flats, enjoy fresh seafood and local Bahamian cooking at the lodge's Reefside Restaurant & Bar.
Three meals per day are included:
- Breakfast before fishing
- Shore lunch on the water
- Dinner at the lodge
Then settle in, trade stories from the day, and get ready to do it all again tomorrow.
