Nomad nets are built for the conditions that prevail where great fishing exists Built for anglers who need more reach and more room in the bag, the Nomad El Jefe Net is designed for larger fish and tougher landing situations. At 41.5 inches long, it gives you the extra reach to stay in control around spooky fish, deeper water, and uneven banks. The generous hoop and 14-inch bag depth provide plenty of room for big browns, steelhead, and other large fish. The carbon fiber and fiberglass composite frame is waterproof, weatherproof, and buoyant, with a matte finish that keeps a low profile. It comes standard with a TPU net bag that’s lightweight, harder to break, and stretches farther before failing than comparable bags tested the same way.

Rod Rating: 9 Sales and Promotional discounts cannot be applied to used gear. There are NO returns accepted on used gear. Please look below for our rating system of used gear: Used gear does not come with a warranty, because vendors only give a warranty to the original owner. Rating Scale: 10 – Like new. This rod is very close to a new rod. The cork may be a little darker than brand new, but no different than a rod that was cast in the parking lot a few times 9 – Almost New. This rod has seen the water a few times. The cork may be slightly darker than new and may have a few small scratches 8 – Great. This is a very lightly used rod. Think of it as a rod that saw a week on the water for a certain trip. The blank and reel seat may have more frequent scratches. No structural damage to any portion of the rod. 7 – Very Good. This rod has seen its days on the water. The cork will be dark and could have some scratches through the rod that are visible. Small cracks in the epoxy are possible. This rod is ready to fish and makes a great back up or new rod for targeting different fish. 6 – Good. A rod that has seen many seasons on the water. The rod may have dark cork, and missing some filler in the cork. The rod will have scratches and damage to the epoxy around the guides. Bent guides are possible. The rod is 100% fishable but will look like a heavily used rod. 5 and Below – Any rod rated 5 and below will not be fishable. Most of these rods will need some sort of repair to get on the water.

Classic In Every Way While the new CLASSIC R8 rods are a culmination of our most advanced materials, componentry, and application-specific tapers to date, the aesthetics span the decades of Sage history and fly fishing itself. Throughout the rod are colors and accents that call to mind the early days of the company, yet they’re presented in unquestionably modern forms and details. We’ve incorporated the highest-quality and most progressive parts and components, from cork and handle shape to guides, wood insert, and reel seat. Overall, the rods are timeless and fit for any generation. We expect they’ll be fished for a lifetime, maybe two. 2 / 4 Colors Starting with the traditional Sage Brown blank color and finishing with the Beige silk screen, the CLASSIC R8 aesthetic is unmistakably Sage, and in between, Chestnut and Beige thread wraps complete the package. These natural colors were taken from days before social media and video calls, encouraging anglers to slow down and observe the surroundings before making a first cast. 3 / 4 Reel Seat A rod named CLASSIC surely must have a fitting reel seat and wood insert. CLASSIC R8 rods feature a Flint-colored reel seat designed from scratch, machined and anodized from aerospace aluminum into a retrospective design of engravings and knurling. We chose distinctive, extra-figured Walnut wood for the insert, which complements the blank and thread wrap colors while also exhibiting its own unique patterns. 4 / 4 Timeless The CLASSIC R8 rods will undoubtedly inspire nostalgia in the anglers who fish them, but the modern designs and finishes connect the past with the present, making these rods more timeless than set in any one place in time. As with each and every Sage rod in existence, CLASSIC R8 rods are made entirely by hand on Bainbridge Island, Washington, USA.
