The Battenkill disc fly reel, a proven legend of the Orvis reel family, is now ushered into the next decade. We didn’t touch the reliability and workhorse nature—those aspects are not for negotiation. Instead, the team worked to tighten tolerances for even smoother operation and updated key facets of the design like improved hand feel on the drag knob, a curved reelfoot that won’t kink leaders, and new, understated colors that complement the aesthetic of Superfine, Classic Bamboo, or even freshwater Helios® and Recon® rods. Includes the stout Hydros SL drag system, which incorporates six interacting carbon and stainless drag surfaces. Positive click drag is simple and easy to adjust. Each reel is built of 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with an ergonomic Delrin handle, and changing from left to right hand retrieve is simple. Mid-arbor with a ported design that pays homage to Battenkill reels of old. A true modern classic. Innovative features and durable carbon fiber construction set the Orvis Wading Staff apart from the rest. Sometimes your most reliable fishing buddy is your Orvis Wading Staff, made in lightweight carbon fiber. Near as we can tell, three points of contact are always better than two. Even worse is using your rodbutt to stable up a stumble or cushion a fall. That never ends well. Point being, there’s no shame in a wading staff at any age, especially one built durable and light from three sections of self-deploying carbon fiber. Fully adjustable from 115 cm to 135 cm, the staff features Powerlock 3.0 hardware that lets you safely customize the height with the market’s most burly locking mechanism. Up top, non-slip, omni-directional EVA foam allows for a secure grip. Down low, a durable, carbide flex tip with optional silent approach rubber cap lets you choose between digging in or keeping quiet. Includes wrist strap and retractor so your safety stick won’t go floating away. Folds up to an almost non-existent 41 cm and stores in easy-access neoprene sheath that slides into your wading belt. Weighs just 9.4 oz. Imported.   Offers a third point of contact while wading and hiking Built from durable yet lightweight carbon fiber Self-deploys in three sections Fully adjustable from 115 cm to 135 cm lengths Dependable Powerlock 3.0 hardware locking mechanism Firm grip from non-slip, omni-directional EVA foam Secure anchoring from durable, carbide flex tip Optional rubber tip cap for a more stealthy approach Wrist strap and retractor Folds down to 41 cm Includes easy-access neoprene sheath that attaches to wading belts 9.4 oz

Our wildly popular Hydros® fly-fishing reel now makes its debut as a fully caged European nymphing machine. Given this style of fishing heavily leans on impossibly thin running line or monofilament for casting, we’ve modified our Hydros II into a Euro version with a full cage and tightened the tolerances to completely eliminate lines from slipping between spool and frame. We’ve also increased the reel’s weight slightly to better balance with the 10' and 11' rods so common in Euro circles. Again, we set out to make the best Euro reel, and we ended up creating an absolute machine, complete with the same forward-thinking attributes of the standard Hydros series. The reel includes a more ergonomically accessible drag knob. A refined seal on the sealed drag to protect the clutch bearing in the drag mechanism. That radiused reel foot for kink-free leader protection. Above all, it’s still got the bombproof, truck-stopping, fully sealed Hydros drag system with stacked carbon/stainless steel disc washers and zero startup inertia. In matte olive with silver accents. Imported. 3.5 in. dia. 5.6 oz. Eliminates the possibility of line slipping between spool and frame with a fully caged Hydros version that includes even tighter tolerances Slightly heavier to better balance longer rods Bombproof, truck-stopping, fully sealed Hydros drag system with stacked carbon/stainless steel disc washers and zero startup inertia Ergonomically accessible drag knob A refined seal on the sealed drag to protect the clutch bearing in the drag mechanism Radiused reel foot for kink-free leader protection

Inspired by the original, our new PRO LT Wading Boots are nearly 10% lighter in an even more nimble platform that retains notable durability. The outsole is constructed of the same best-in-class Michelin® wet rubber traction of the Outdoor Extreme. An Intuition® foam insole offers welcome shock absorption and support by molding around your foot over time for a near-custom fit without paying custom insole premiums. The mid-cut collar height maintains ankle stability, with a lighter weight to increase angler agility and speed when covering miles. Same goes for the secure footing provided by the unique, one-piece 360° padded wrap reminiscent of a ski boot: It’s all about secure footing while saving weight. An abrasion-resistant PU-cast Kurim® Mudguard gives you added durability and foot protection, with a lower-profile speed lace system to make lacing up quick and the perfect tension—even while wearing light gloves. Pairs perfectly with the PRO LT Waders. Nylon upper with PU casting. EVA midsole. Rubber outsole. Imported. Almost 10% lighter than the original PRO Wading Boots, yet still uncompromisingly durable Michelin Outdoor Extreme rubber outsole Ultra-supportive, shock-absorbing insole made from Intuition® foam Increased agility without sacrificing ankle support from a mid-cut height A more secure footing from a ski boot-style, single bellow, one-piece, 360° padded wrap Durable, abrasion-resistant PU-cast Kurim® Mudguard Quick, secure, even lower-profile speed lace system Pairs perfectly with the PRO LT Waders
