    For a click-and-pawl fly reel in a class of its own, choose the Orvis Battenkill. Some get it done with a drag system, but some prefer to put a running fish in the palm of their hand—exactly why we’ll always offer click-and-pawl fly reels like the proven legend of the Orvis Battenkill family. Ushered into the next decade with key design improvements, the Battenkill reel offers reliability and a workhorse nature we didn't touch—those aspects are not for negotiation. Instead, the team worked to tighten tolerances for even smoother operation and updated facets of the design like improved hand feel, a curved reelfoot that won’t kink leaders, and new understated colors that complement the aesthetic of Superfine®, Classic Bamboo, or even freshwater Helios™ and Recon® rods. Each reel is built of 6061-T6 aircraft aluminum with an ergonomic Delrin® handle, and changing from left to right hand retrieve is simple. Standard arbor with a ported design that pays homage to Battenkill reels of old.     Think Tacoma versus Tundra as the basis for the new men's PRO LT fishing waders: more than capable, just a little less beefy. Building on the success of the original PRO Waders—widely known as the industry’s most durable, puncture-resistant ever—the PRO LT Waders feature a proprietary, full four-layer CORDURA® shell. That’s the exact same four-layer fabric as in the original PRO Waders that nearly made our warranty claim department grind to a halt. A gusseted crotch and low-profile seam construction give you easy, non-binding movement for hopping boat gunnels and downed trees, and the waders easily convert to a waist-high via the adjustable elastic suspenders with opposing buckles, when the day gets warm and you need to chill. A sizeable, stretchy external pocket at chest is ideal for stuffing a hand or two inside for a quick warmup between casts, with a flip-out accessory pocket for valuables. Floatant, hemos, and hook sharpeners stand at the ready right where you’d reach for them, given the external, rubberized tool-docking tabs and daisy chain. Lower down, we’ve even streamlined the padded 3mm OrthoLite® knee pads for more casting comfort when you’ve gotta drop into low-pro stealth mode to make that presentation to spooky fish. Also streamlined for less water drag, the PU-reinforced gravel guards feature a hidden snap to keep them securely affixed to your wading boots. Modern, anatomically correct 3.5mm neoprene booties round out the new design, giving you contoured comfort that won’t bunch up at the toe. The PRO Wading Boot was an industry-first collaborative effort with Michelin®, built on an outsole compound specifically designed for fly fishing. This revolutionary new sole design is an industry-disrupting advance in wet rubber traction. The Michelin Outdoor Extreme outsole offers 25% better abrasion resistance and a resounding 43% improvement in wet rubber traction over the competition. Using Michelin tire geometry, it offers a wider footprint for stability, a higher ratio of surface contact, and a lug pattern that reduces shock and improves pressure distribution. The two-layer midsole has a co-molded ESS plate that provides improved stud retention and torsional stability. Orvis partnered with OrthoLite® to create a 3D molded X25 insole designed for high-impact sports, delivering maximum comfort and arch support.
