    The Kreelex is a Chuck Kraft creation.  Chuck was a guide and master fly tyer.  As the story goes, Chuck guided 160+ days per year and started guiding in South America in the 1990's.  It was here that he first used the Kreinik flash that is used to tie this fly.  The material moves, pulsates, and breathes in the water. While the original name was the "Rolex," it didn't take long before his friends advised him that those watching might have an issue with the name.  This fly has produced trout, bass, and salt species.  We were first turned on to the fly as a point fly when Czech stlye nymphing.  George Daniel uses this fly with great success as a jigged streamer in high, stained water.  It works.  Everywhere.
