Simply put, this fly has become a workhorse for competition anglers. We've had success with this pattern across water types and locations. This fly has loose hair around the thorax that simulate the legs of an aquatic insect, and a tungsten bead which will sink the nymph quickly into the deep zone where the big fish hang out. The Tungsten Bead Hare's Ear Nymph is a must in a fly fisherman's fly box.
