And, if you cross tying a Jiggy Pat's Rubberleg while listening to 90's Hip Hop by "2 In the Room" you might get a Jiggy Pat's Rubberleg to "Wiggle it, Just a Little Bit..." It's a terrible song, and music video is worse. That said, the video begins with a guy rowing a drift boat into the ocean while wearing short white shorts. What?!?! Completely random. What's not random is that articulation tends to make "great" even better. This is an interesting next step on a modern take of a classic. We expect this will be our go-to stonefly from now on.

View full detailsThe Improved Bird's Nest - Hare's Ear Beadhead pattern has been around for decades, and continues to be a part of most anglers fly box. Why? Because it is as effective today as it was back in 1959, when Cal Bird first tied this fly to imitate a caddis pupa. The pattern is considered to be an Attractor Pattern. With the soft hackle tied to the front of the fly, it imitates a struggling mayfly emerging in the water column, and when swing downstream, does well during a caddis hatch. This is a very versatile fly.

The Prince Nymph was an obvious addition to the family and was tastefully designed with alternating colors to show the segmentation in the abdomen and why not add a tungsten bead?

View full detailsThe Prince Nymph is one of the most successful nymph patterns ever developed. The tungsten bead hotwire prince nymph has all the fish catching qualities of a regular prince nymph, but tied with a segmented wire body and a tungsten bead, that really gets the fly deep.
