View full detailsWith the introduction of Ultra Wire to the tying world, many standard patterns gained weight while keeping their figure...Brad Befus created the Wired Stonefly pattern to get down fast while keeping a realistic profile. Too often, Stonefly patterns become too fat and disproportionate by adding lead wire underbodies. This multi wired body offers some segmentation using two color wires wrapped together. Fish this pattern below an indicator with Fluorocarbon or in tandem with a Prince Nymph.

This fly is an attractor used to immiate lots of bugs....from a stonefly to a beetle. This fly is a great choice of fly to use as a dry dropper, since it can easily float most tungsten bead nymphs.

View full detailsQuills provide natural segmention without any need for additional materials. That helps this fly stay sleek and sink quick. Well played, Mr Olsen. Like Perdigons in general, this fly has nothing to stop it from dropping to the bottom and resembling the size and silhouette of just about any mayfly nymph. The old adage states "if your nymph isn't getting stuck, you're not fishing where you should be" The Jiggy series uses a 60 degree jig hook, allowing the angler to fish the fly directly on the bottom where nymphs live. Increased drifts without hanging up on the bottom is the biggest advantage this style nymph offers. This orientation also helps with a more positive hook up, typically pinning the fish top dead center allowing a faster and safer release! Bead/Hook Sizes: #8, 10 & 12 hook: 3.8 mm Slotted Tungsten Bead #18 hook: 2.2 mm Slotted Tungsten Bead #14 hook: 3.3 mm Slotted Tungsten Bead #20 hook: 2.0 mm Slotted Tungsten Bead #16 hook: 2.8 mm Slotted Tungsten Bead #22 hook: 1.5 mm Slotted Tungsten Bead

Fluorocarbon leader will help the plummet and get you in the zone.Add a jig hook to keep the fly from catching the bottom of the river, and a dense tungsten bead to get the fly deep, where big fish prefer to feed, and you have a winner. Fish this highly effective pattern with fluorocarbon under an adult or attractor pattern like a Royal Wulff. This fly includes a tungsten bead, which will sink the fly quickly to where large trout prefer to feed, and the jig hook will help prevent the fly from snagging on the bottom of the river. View full detailsTwo layers of foam are better than one! The added floatation will help suspend heavier droppers, or multiple droppers. We add a mottled wing which can help contrast. This is one of those flies that -- after a day on the water -- you'll wonder "How'd I ever fish without this?"

This is the coyote; perfect for holding up a small dropper and small enough to fish by itself. This fly is desgined to float well and be highly visible.
