Often overlooked, a foam beetleand a dropper early in the terrestrial season can produce a fun day of fishing on our local tailwaters. That said, there are times when a sparse ant is needed. Fashioned after Shimazake's CDC Ant, this is the pattern that will turn heads. Although sparse, it floats well and the white CDC overwing makes it quite visible. We also like to fish this behind a larger attractor like a Chubby.
