The convenience issues are obvious, but the wader has to be of the highest quality construction to provide confidence in performance. The PRO Wader is the most durable, abrasion-resistant, and feature-rich wader we've ever built. Built with exclusive 100% CORDURA® fabric with four layers in the upper and five layers in the lower, the addition of a TIZIP® Masterseal waterproof zipper tested for more than 200 days, provides a remarkable level of combined convenience and performance. In the upper are split fleece-lined handwarmer pockets, two external storage pockets with YKK AquaGuard® coated zippers, and split Hypalon daisy chain for tool docking. Inside are two internal storage pockets for fly boxes and accessories. Adjustable elastic suspenders with opposing buckles for waist-high conversion. The five-layer lower incorporates removable OrthoLite® X25 knee pads, PU cage mesh gravel guards to eliminate drag and water collection, and anatomically correct neoprene booties. Athletic Fit. Built with an athletic fit, the PRO Wader uses an extremely durable proprietary 4-layer Cordura® fabric shell in the upper and 5-layer Cordura fabric shell in the lower legs for the best in class abrasion and puncture resistance. Low profile seam construction and a gusseted crotch enhance movement and seam strength. Modern anatomically correct neoprene booties have less bulk with a true “sock” feel and are more comfortable inside wading boots, while the streamlined PU reinforced mesh gravel guard covers the boot tightly and completely eliminates drag and water collection.Convenience features include an external storage pocket with YKK AquaGuard® water-resistant zipper to keep essentials dry and prevents loss. Rubberized tabs on suspenders and front pocket daisy chain for tool docking, offer multiple locations for essentials and eliminate chance of puncturing waders or losing tools. Fly patch on front pocket for quick changes and drying. Large four-way stretch power mesh interior pocket expands to fit larger items yet stays out of the way when empty. Kangaroo-style fleece-lined handwarmer pockets with YKK AquaGuard water-resistant zippers. Removable OrthoLite® knee pads use the same technology found in our PRO Boot insole for optimal comfort and rebound. Think Tacoma versus Tundra as the basis for the new men's PRO LT fishing waders: more than capable, just a little less beefy. Building on the success of the original PRO Waders—widely known as the industry’s most durable, puncture-resistant ever—the PRO LT Waders feature a proprietary, full four-layer CORDURA® shell. That’s the exact same four-layer fabric as in the original PRO Waders that nearly made our warranty claim department grind to a halt. A gusseted crotch and low-profile seam construction give you easy, non-binding movement for hopping boat gunnels and downed trees, and the waders easily convert to a waist-high via the adjustable elastic suspenders with opposing buckles, when the day gets warm and you need to chill. A sizeable, stretchy external pocket at chest is ideal for stuffing a hand or two inside for a quick warmup between casts, with a flip-out accessory pocket for valuables. Floatant, hemos, and hook sharpeners stand at the ready right where you’d reach for them, given the external, rubberized tool-docking tabs and daisy chain. Lower down, we’ve even streamlined the padded 3mm OrthoLite® knee pads for more casting comfort when you’ve gotta drop into low-pro stealth mode to make that presentation to spooky fish. Also streamlined for less water drag, the PU-reinforced gravel guards feature a hidden snap to keep them securely affixed to your wading boots. Modern, anatomically correct 3.5mm neoprene booties round out the new design, giving you contoured comfort that won’t bunch up at the toe. This revolutionary new sole design is an industry-disrupting advance in wet rubber traction. The Michelin Outdoor Extreme outsole offers 25% better abrasion resistance and a resounding 43% improvement in wet rubber traction over the competition. Using Michelin tire geometry, it offers a wider footprint for stability, a higher ratio of surface contact, and a lug pattern that reduces shock and improves pressure distribution. The two-layer midsole has a co-molded ESS plate that provides improved stud retention and torsional stability. Orvis partnered with OrthoLite® to create a 3D molded X25 insole designed for high-impact sports, delivering maximum comfort and arch support.
