The Perdigon has nothing to stop it from dropping to the bottom and resembling the size and silhouette of just about any mayfly nymph. The old adage states "if your nymph isn't getting stuck, you're not fishing where you should be" The Jiggy series uses a 60 degree jig hook, allowing the angler to fish the fly directly on the bottom where nymphs live. Increased drifts without hanging up on the bottom is the biggest advantage this style nymph offers. This orientation also helps with a more positive hook up, typically pinning the fish top dead center allowing a faster and safer release.! Pat's Rubberleg Stonefly is a simple Stonefly pattern that has fooled trout for decades...Weighted underbody, dense chenille, and long squirmy rubber legs is all it takes for Pat's Rubberlegs to continue putting fish in the net. Fluorocarbon leader will help the plummet and get you in the zone. Add a jig hook to keep the fly from catching the bottom of the river, and a dense tungsten bead to get the fly deep, where big fish prefer to feed, and you have a winner.Please note that due to variations in material, sizes 6 and 8 are slightly darker shade than sizes 10-14.
