TROUT
Trout are the main focus of our guide service. That’s why most people come to western Maryland to fly fish and for good reason. We have an incredibly diverse offering of trout streams in our region. We are able to offer trips on spring creeks, mountain streams, freestone and tail-water rivers. The rivers we focus on the most are the North Branch of the Potomac, the Savage River and Beaver Creek. Depending on conditions, we have other streams around that may be a better choice for your trip.
All trips include flies, leaders, tippet and everything you need. We provide Sage, Redington and Scott Fly Rods and Lamson, Redington and Ross Reels. For fly lines, we use Rio and Scientific Anglers lines. All full-day trips also include lunch.
- Float trips are $475 for the day (1 or 2 anglers)
- Walk and wade full-day trips are $300 for one angler and $375 for two anglers
- Walk and wade half-day trips are offered on select streams for $225 for one angler and $275 for two anglers

SMALLMOUTH BASS
The Smallmouth Bass is the king of warm-water fly fishing around here. 6 weight fly rods, popping bugs, big streamers and breathtaking scenery is what it’s all about for our smallmouth bass trips. After a long spring of microscopic flies and light tippets, we could all use a ferocious predator smashing your fly that you strip set as hard as you can. Not only is it some of the most exciting fishing of the year, but it’s also in an incredible setting. You’d be hard-pressed to beat the scenery on the Upper Potomac River. Jet boats, rafts and drift boats will get you to the fish and a memory you won’t soon forget. These trips are offered for June and July.

MUSKY
Pure-strain, wild, Northern Muskellunge are what we’re after for these trips. They are not stocked fish and they are not hybrid Tiger Muskies. We fish the Upper Potomac River for these beautiful, fierce creatures on a jet boat. There is a very healthy population of these fish and they eat flies really well. After spending many, many years figuring these fish out, Tom is able to consistently put clients on fish.
Nothing about musky fishing is easy though. The flies are extremely large, the rods are heavy and you must concentrate on every move you make. The payoff for all the hardwork is one of the largest and most incredible fish you will find in freshwater. If this sounds like it’s something you want to do, we are here to make it happen. These trips are extremely dependent on weather and water conditions. Trips run from October-March depending on conditions at the time.
